Another day off of school for the kids due to the Polar Vortex of 2014, which meant more play time, project time, and staying warm by the fire time.

I bundled Ellie up to head next door to play with the neighbor girl...thankfully she didn't have far to go and thankfully I caught her on the way back and had her grab the mail for me before heading inside!

Pinterest Baby!
The girls have been collecting Lego Friends sets for birthdays and Christmas and needed a safe (aka - away from twin brothers' grasp) place to put/play with them. Enter Pinterest...I found this idea and ran with it. And, it helps that we live only 20 minutes from an IKEA!

5 little Gieres clean as a whistle, ready for school to start tomorrow,
enjoying the glow of the warm fire...nothing better.

**An addition to the blog that I'm going to try to do as often as possible is to add a scripture that I've read on the day of the post...I may or may not explain why choose what I choose. I know God will use His words for His Glory!**

Philippians 3:8-9 (ESV)
"8Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ9and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—"
