One reason...

Here is just one reason God gave us hands...thank you Sam, for your willingness to demonstrate. :O)

Apples...what are they good for anyway?

If you saw my last post, you saw that I was hopeful that by my children eating their apples, they would not get sick. Well, it didn't work...they got sick...all three of them. Thankfully we were still able to make a short trip to MI last weekend to see my parents, who were only home from CA for one week. But, unfortunately, we pretty much stayed in their house the entire visit. Oh well...such is life with three small children! Needless to say, I haven't taken too many pictures lately. I'll try to work on that now that they have happy faces again!

On a different, more fun note...while looking through my saved "favorite" blogs, I can across one that I haven't visited in a while. And I don't know why it's been so long (in fact, I have no idea how I found the Cookin' Canuck!)...the recipes on this site look amazing! I'm so motivated to get busy in the kitchen and start cooking! Check out these Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and Chocolate Cheesecake Bars...don't they look amazing?! I have to admit, I have not made anything from this blog yet, but I'm about to try. Let me know if you try anything and how it goes! OR if you have any other blogs or recipes site that you love...I'm desperate for new, kid-friendly ideas! Thanks!!

Not much to say...

I'm hoping these apples keep the doctor away!

Hannah woke up with a fever this morning and as you know, when one has it, the rest usually follow. I'm hoping and praying that won't be the case this time, but already felt defeated when I caught Sammy drinking from Hannah's cup this afternoon! AUGH!!!  Please pray for us!

And, I REALLY just don't know what to say about this...Gabby found a comfy place to rest tonight and I literally cracked up at the sight!

Is it still winter?

Yes, it looks like ol' Mr. Groundhound is predicting 6 more weeks of winter and I guess I have to deal with it! And, because it is still winter and there was a trace of snow on the ground, the kids soaked up some sledding time with our buddies Isaac and Isabel today! Fun fun!

Hannah has been OBSESSED with eating snow ever since she was a baby! Not sure why, but believe me, we remind her time and time again to make sure the SNOW IS WHITE before eating it!!! Yuck!

And, being a natural born leader, she got Ellie and Isaac to try a little snack too!

I went to Taylor U. with Isaac and Isabel's parents and have been
so blessed by our growing friendship these past couple of years.
(we reconnected about 2 years ago when we started attending their church in Batavia, IL)
Their two kiddos are so much fun and are just plain adorable, aren't they?!

The picture below of Sammy just cracks me up! For some reason he started pulling this face when I got the camera out the other night. What a ham!

Yet another attempt at a shot w/ all three...poor Sammy!
