Expectations

If you know our Sammy, which you probably do, you know that he is a little ball of energy. He keeps us laughing every day and on our toes! We know, with out a doubt, that his love language is physical touch. You can often find him running by, swatting our behinds, giving us a little punch or literally pummeling us to the floor. I've joked with Brian that I know my relationship with Sam is going well, when he pats my leg as he walks by...I'll be worried when he doesn't reach out to hit me!

We had Sam's preschool parent/teacher conference recently and I just loved hearing from his teacher. Both of the girls have had this teacher previously, so she knew Sam from seeing him around the halls and was quick to tell me that he was not at all what she expected him to be. She was sweet and almost apologetic about how she really thought he was going to be this wild, unruly kid (go figure, right!). She said that he is so sweet and really bright. She gushed about how quick he is to help and answer questions and he's usually right! I beamed with pride hearing about our boy...and then the next day, shook my head with hands in my face as he ran like a crazy person down the hall from his classroom. :)
