D O R A!!!!!!!

Last week our children's museum was offering a once in a lifetime (slight exaggeration there!) opportunity to meet the one and only Dora the Explorer! Well, since we've been cooped up a lot the past few weeks getting over various illnesses, I decided that we needed to experience Dora and go say Hi. So, we picked up Hannah from school and headed right to the museum...along with the 1,000 other locals equally as excited about a Dora sighting as we were! (yes, I'm exaggerating again, but seriously, it was packed!) Long story sort of short, we missed our opportunity to get a "ticket" to see Dora, so we had to take a chance and linger around the room where she was sitting, in hopes of catching her on her way out. And, thankfully, we did! She was really sweet and posed for a picture with the girls as she made her way to the exit. We actually did it right...we only waiting a few minutes to see her, when I'm guessing there were a lot more people that waited a LOT longer!

All in all, it was a fun little outing...a little play time and a picture with Dora. The funny part was that even after taking a picture with her, Ellie was not convinced that we had indeed "met Dora." She kept saying, in a sweet, whiney voice, "I WANT to meet Dora!" Both Hannah and I looked at each other and told her, "we just did!" She was not to be persuaded...so unfortunately, she left feeling frustrated that we had not met Dora. It wasn't until later in the day when I showed her the picture again and explained that the girl was Dora, that she seemed to catch on!

I love seeing the pictures of your kids! The girls are starting to look more and more like each other--especially in the photo with their faces pressed together :) ...and, love the new Chicago clock! Cute!

Dora as a cartoon is scary enough - but to see an actual physical Dora has me so scared, I think I might cry.
