Photo Shoot - Morton Arboretum

I took the kids, dressed in their best, to the arboretum last week for a quick photo shoot. It had been way too long since I updated photos of them around the house. And, I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the results.

I love these kids!

I had to let them have a little fun while we were there too!

27 1/2 weeks

Sorry I haven't updated much. These twin baby boys are growing, growing, growing and doing great! Everything is on track and we are all healthy! Praise God! As of Wed. I was measuring 39 weeks! No wonder a kind gentleman from church asked Brian if I was due "any day now," the other day! Yikes!

We're headed to MI soon and can't wait to spend a good solid 2 1/2 weeks up with our dear family and friends. Hannah and her cousin Taylor will be heading to Camp Geneva for Day Camp next week and I can't wait for them to have a blast! I ALWAYS loved my camp experiences and am so happy that the girls have the opportunity to enjoy it as well.

AND, we can't wait to hit the beach! Hopefully I'll be able to make it down the stairs to the lake! Actually, I should restate that...I WILL make it down to the beach, just maybe a little slower than usual! Thank goodness Grandma and Papa will be around to help chase the kiddos! (right?!)

This is my "Yes, I'm huge and oh my word, I can't believe
I have 10 more weeks (hopefully!) to go!" look! :O)

Just found this gem...

the girls and I were looking at recent pictures and videos and came across this little gem.

This was taken this past February at Joshua Tree National Park on our trip to CA.

Enjoy!

The Month of Sammy's Birthday

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEET
SAMMY BOY!

Sam's birthday was just this past Thursday, May 12th, but the celebrating began long before...lucky boy.

Party #1 was on the windiest Saturday afternoon I have ever seen! We started out at Hannah soccer game with Grandma and Grandpa Giere and the Johaniks. While Hannah ran her little heart out on the field, the 4 yr olds were busy collecting beautiful dandelions. Jeremy and Ellie have become little buddies lately...aren't they just too cute?! Look at his arm around her! Precious!

After the game, we headed to a park for a picnic and birthday cookie!

Sweet Jeremy passed along a super fun crane to Sammy...he loves it!

Party #2 took place in MI over Mother's Day weekend. Despite having a sore ear (never fun when you're out of town and you need an antibiotic asap! Thankfully, we were able to get him some help...) This face is SO Sammy...it's his "hey, I'm a tough guy, check me out" look. :)

Great Grammy and Grandma Marge laughing at Sammy...love it!

"Really, presents for me?"

Daddy found this super fun dragon/dinosaur cake at Meijer (made out of cupcakes)! Way to go Daddy!

And the next day, on to the beach for the most beautifully, warm Mother's Day we've probably ever seen!

Can't wait for a TON more pictures on the beach this summer!

Party #3 was with our family on Sam's actual birthday and where did he want to go???
You guessed it...Chuck E Cheese!

It's not our usual family birthday place, but super fun for the kids and even Brian and I. I mean, you're never to old for a little Skeeball competition, right?! I would have won too, if my twin belly hadn't gotten in my way! HA!

See, even Brian enjoyed the Chuck E experience! ;O)

Back at home for cupcakes...we love cupcakes!

Check out his new ball glove!

Happy Birthday Buddy Boy!
*special note* just so you're sure,
we are not planning on starting any family singing groups any time soon!

Saturday Afternoon Excitement

A couple of Saturdays ago, Brian came in calling for the girls to come outside and check out what all the excitement was about...I came out to find this blob in the street near a car parked across from our house. At first I thought it was a dead animal and of course, my immediate thought was, "why in the world did he come get the girls for that?!" However, upon a closer look, I found out it was...

this...a little flock of sweet ducklings!

There were 12 little cuties...all huddled together...in the street!

Of course we didn't feel right just leaving them there, so we attempted to "herd" them over to the grass. Here's the little and big herders. :O)

They started to draw quite a crowd...and they were getting close...

Finally! They made it to the grass...however, we still didn't feel great about leaving them where they would likely head right back into the street. But, we didn't know where they had come from. There are two ponds in our neighborhood and one neighbor said she saw them come from the direction of one of them. So, we found a large box, scooped them up Brian and a few kids headed off to set them free by the pond. We were hoping that their mom would be near (we hadn't seen her during this whole thing)...

And who said suburban living is boring?!
